This describes the acceptable uses of the Freevolution Network web site and any related online services.
The Freevolution Network is a set of online services created to further communication among members of the network, including without limitation as on this web site.
We prize a diversity of viewpoints and are steadfast in a commitment to freedom of expression, encouraging the free exchange of ideas and perspectives. The Freevolution Network is intended to foster a diversity of perspectives in a climate of civility and mutual respect. This requires respect for others' viewpoints and individuality and obligates all users of these services to exercise discretion and maintain civility in their communications on the Freevolution Network.
To that end, all those individuals utilizing the Freevolution Network agree not to engage in abusive, harassing, threatening or hostile communications that demean, intimidate or result in injury to another individual because of personal characteristics or beliefs, particularly those including, but not limited to, sex, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability or handicap.
Certain uses of the Freevolution Network are inconsistent with the purposes for which it was created. Such uses include, but are not limited to, those that: 1) are illegal or fraudulent; 2) inaccurately imply endorsement, approval or sponsorship by the Freevolution Network or its owners or operators; or 3) involve mass distributions for any personal, commercial (e.g., ads or spamming) or political activity.
Not condoning censorship, the Freevolution Network cannot protect individuals against the existence or receipt of materials that may be offensive to them. However, if the Freevolution Network believes, in its sole discretion, that a user's participation in the Freevolution Network creates liability for the Freevolution Network or violates the guidelines set forth here, the Freevolution Network reserves the right to take any and all actions it deems necessary and appropriate including, but not limited to: deleting a posting, limiting or denying a user's access to the Freevolution Network or canceling a discussion area.
The Freevolution Network reserves the right to discontinue any and all online services at any time or to unilaterally revise the terms of this policy without advance notice. Use of the Freevolution Network constitutes your agreement to abide by these regulations.
Use of the Freevolution Network also constitutes an agreement by any user to make their contributions available under the General Public License (the GPL) and an affirmation by the contributor that to the best of their knowledge they have sufficient rights in their contributed works to allow their contributions to be irrevokably and non-exclusively licensed under the GPL and that they will inform the Freevolution Network as soon as possible should that turn out not to be the case. Note that contributors retain other rights to their own work and so may still negotiate proprietary licenses with others for their own specific contributions should they wish to do so. They may also release their contributions under other free license or return their works to the public domain.
Additionally, all work on this site should comply with our service provider's Acceptable Use Policy.
